On the third day, He rose again 😂. Jk. Day 3 was dope. It started out going on a solo trip to Chinatown to finally catch the Kobe mural at Will “Woo Woo” Wong Playground. I parked right outside of Chinatown and took a little stroll to the playground. As I got there, I noticed a couple of people in hazmat suits on a mobile lift right in front of the mural. As I was going around shooting, they called me over to take some photos of them and told me they were actually taking it down since it’s been a year and the owner wanted to take it down. It was actually a year to the day.
It was dope being able to talk to them about the mural and what not and they even let me take a piece home. I effed up becuase when I asked for a piece, they asked if there was anything I wanted in particular. Me not wanting to be an inconvenience, I was like nah, just give me whatever. Now I got a little Chinese boy leg instead of a piece of Kobe 😂
Later on that day was my uncle’s 60th suprirse birthday party which was the reason for the trip in the first place. It was dope being able to attend a family party on the West Coast since we only ever really see them through facetime and iMesage. It was extra special that Izzy was able to attend and see a house I’ve had so much fun at over the years since I was a kid. Hoping to come back soon!
